Sustainability, Green Impact and Net Zero

At our practice, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact and supporting a healthier, more sustainable future for our patients, staff and local community.

Green Impact for Health

We are participating in the Green Impact for Health scheme, which supports GP practices to improve sustainability and reduce their environmental impact.

As part of the scheme, we are taking practical steps to:

  • Reduce waste and improve recycling
  • Reduce unnecessary use of energy and water
  • Encourage more sustainable ways of working
  • Support healthier and lower-carbon choices for patients and staff
  • Consider the environmental impact of how healthcare is delivered

Our Net Zero commitment

The NHS has committed to reducing its carbon emissions and working towards Net Zero healthcare.

We support this ambition by reviewing how our practice operates and looking for practical ways to become more environmentally responsible.

This includes improving energy efficiency, reducing avoidable waste, promoting sustainable travel where possible and making better use of digital services.

Small changes across healthcare can make a significant difference when they are made consistently.

We are committed to continuing this work and making positive changes that benefit the health of our patients, our community and the environment.
