CELMP are pleased to announce that we offer Minor Surgical services to our patients in Barking & Dagenham.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The prescription line will now be open from 09.30-10.30 Monday-Friday. Please visit the prescription page for all other ways to order your prescription.

PLEASE NOTE: UNFORTUNATELY THE SURGERY NO LONGER PROVIDES EXTENDED HOUR CLINICS. WE WILL HOWEVER CONTINUE TO MAKE EVENING APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE UNTIL 6.30PM ON MONDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS FOR COMMUTERS.

PLEASE NOTE: The GP surgery is based in Church Elm Lane Health Centre which also houses other community services including Phlebotomy, Health Visitors and Talking Therapies which are NOT part of the GP. Please contact 0300 300 1790 to access these services or ask about any further enquiries.

E-Consults

Church Elm Lane is participating in a new initiative called E-Consult. This will allow you to use an online portal to self check symptoms and receive on the spot medical advice 24/7. Please visit the E-Consult website for further information:

Appointments

An appointment system is in operation for the doctors and nurses. An appointment can be made by phoning 020 8465 3000 during surgery hours.

If you wish to see a particular doctor, then please state the name of the doctor when booking your appointment.

Appointments can be made up to a week in advance and are scheduled for 10 minutes. If you need to discuss more than one problem please notify reception who will book 2 appointment slots for you.

Please also make sure you book a separate appointment for each person needing attention.

If your problem is non-urgent you will generally be able to see the doctor within 2 working days under normal circumstances.

If your problem is urgent please let staff know immediately. You will be seen on the same day whenever possible.

Should the doctor be running more than 30 minutes late you will be told on arrival. You will be offered an alternative appointment should this be more convenient for you.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. If you miss more than 2 appointments you may be removed from the practice list. we require a minimum of 30 minutes  to cancel a doctors appointment and 24 hours to cancel with the nurse/HCA/pharmacist.
